Do you live with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D)? Do you care about someone who does?
Are you a cycling enthusiast? Do you love documentaries? Are you looking for a Sunday Funday activity to do with friends and family? We've got you covered! Bring your favourite blankets, snacks and folks to B13 The Baker's Dozen for a cozy afternoon of film and fun in support of Diabetes Awareness Month.
Join us to celebrate the resilience and strength of people living with Type 1 Diabetes by following the epic adventures of team Bike Beyond - twenty people living with Type 1 Diabetes (from the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the UK) - as they cycle from NYC to San Francisco, destroying stereotypes and raising awareness along the way! This event is pay-what-you can, which means that everyone is welcome - donation or not! Any funds that are raised will be donated to support the work of Beyond Type 1 - an organization that aims to educate the global community about Type 1 Diabetes (an autoimmune disease), to provide resources and support to those living with Type 1 diabetes, to bridge the gap from diagnosis to cure and to empower people to live well today and to fund a better tomorrow. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
